- Mosquito Squad proudly gives Northstar Academy, St. Andrew’s School, Sheltering Arms and numerous other local causes. Mosquito Squad participates in “Giving Day” and “Earth Day” by planting trees in Richmond communities.
Lee Hatcher is the owner of the Richmond and Fredericksburg locations and is the father of two college aged sons. He was in the financial services industry for eighteen years before purchasing his Mosquito Squad locations in 2013. Lee enjoys watching and attending sporting events, mostly UVA sports. He enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his sons and his little dog, Darla. Lee spends time mentoring children at St. Andrews School and attends Hope Church.
Kristi Kemeny has been with Mosquito Squad since 2012 and keeps the place running! She is the mother of two sons who work and live in California, a place near and dear to Kristi’s heart as her family all lives there! She volunteers at St. Andrew’s School and attends Hope Church. Kristi is enjoying training for the 1/2 Marathon.
Brian Rider has been in the pest control business for 25 years. He is the father of one daughter and is a grandfather to a baby boy! Brian is a life long Cleveland Browns fan (insert joke here) and is an avid dog lover! He enjoys cooking on the grill and makes the best BBQ!
Cary Wyatt owned the Richmond Mosquito Squad franchise for 5 years before selling it to Lee Hatcher. She now is in charge of Marketing and Sales in the Richmond office. Cary has three sons in high school and college and absolutely loves watching them play sports (especially basketball). She enjoys reading, traveling, frequenting the VMFA, and being outdoors. Cary teaches confirmation and volunteers at St. Stephen’s Church in her spare time.
Peter Donohue is a Richmond native and has been with Mosquito Squad since 2013. He recently stepped into a manager position and we are excited to have him! Outside of work you may catch him in the woods camping, at a shooting range, or simply laying in a hammock down by the James River.
Elaine Merrick is the second newest member of the family at Mosquito Squad! Elaine will be a manager overseeing quality control in the field and managing technicians. Elaine is a native of Richmond and will be a huge asset to the team with her customer service background. She enjoys going to the gym, watching hockey, trying new restaurants, and just hanging out with her dogs in her spare time.
Skyler Byrd is the newest addition to our Richmond and Fredericksburg family. A member of the Squad system since 2011, Skyler served as the General Manager for the South Richmond location before assuming his new role as our Head of Operations. A native of Richmond, Skyler is an avid Washington Capitals fan and enjoys cooking, grilling and smoking BBQ, seeing live music, trying new craft beer with friends and family, and hanging outside with his dog, Kona. Skyler attended Virginia Tech and has a B.S. in Horticulture and a minor in Agriculture Economics. We are excited to have him on board and welcome him to our Squad family!
Taylor Prokopis is currently in school working towards getting her associates degree and becoming a Ultrasound Tech! She live in Hanover and enjoys hanging out with family and friends, being outdoors, and doing sporty things.
